I have always had an interest in personal growth, long before I even knew what it was. I loved to read growing up and I still do. The first chapter book I read cover to cover without putting down was the BFG by Roald Dahl. One of the things I got from the book was the permission to not know. I realised it was OK not to understand something and to know there is magic in not knowing because it offers an opportunity to explore. For me the magic that comes from not knowing is courage and curiosity. This means I try to always stay curious, to explore the world and people and through that exploration to strive for understanding of myself and others.
I love how in recent times personal growth has become more mainstream and accessible, giving more people more opportunities to know themselves better. I believe that to understand what I can about the world we live in and the people in it, and to be of service to others, it is imperative to know myself.
